How much to use?

Dosage depends on finish type:

Pre-Blended Material (aka aggregate, cement, pigment in one 80lb bag)  8 oz liquid SetNCure per pre-blended bag.

Mix on Site Material (aka 94lb cement sack added on site with aggregate and pigment)  25 oz liquid SetNCure per pre-blended bag.

When to use?

When batching Plaster, Quartz, Pebble or Polished Finishes:

  1. Calculate SetNCure needed per batch
    - 8oz SetNCure per pre-blend bag or
    - 25oz SetNCure per cement sack
  2. Add liquid SetNCure to mix water in mixer
  3. ** If using calcium chloride set accelerator, thoroughly dissolve calcium in mixer**
  4. Allow water, SetNCure, and calcium chloride (if using) to mix until thoroughly blended before adding other dry ingredients.
  5. Add remaining dry ingredients (cement, pigment, aggregate) and any additional needed water.
  6. Mix to desired consistency. Pump. Trowel. Finish.

Exposed Finish Advice

SetNCure helps to protect cement during washing & exposure. However, a thorough wash and exposure is still necessary. After troweling the finish, we recommend conducting the wash day 1 (water wand, rag, brush wash) and chemical exposure (pool wash or acid wash) day two. 

After any chemical or acid wash, a thorough sodium bicarbonate bath and pressure wash is required before fill. Click here for sodium bicarbonate bath.
